There is a bit of uncertainty surrounding some of the major players in the coworking space at the moment.
What is the future of coworking? Should this cause worry for the industry at large? The answer is: absolutely not.
We aren’t in the business of making statements that we can’t back up. So, let’s examine some of the statistics that provethe future of coworking is not only stable; it’s brighter than ever.
“By the end of 2019 there will be an estimated 696 new coworking spaces in the US.” – Coworking Resources
CoCoTiv is growing, too. Our focus for that growth is rooted in stability and not out pacing the needs of our most important resource- our members. Our mission has always been to provide our members a place to thrive and space to connect with one another. That’s why we couldn’t be happier to open our new space on the 7th floor of 1515 Mockingbird Lane. More space means more members. And that means more opportunities for growth for everyone.

“Coworking office spaces are growing not only in number, but in size as well. With a growth rate of nearly 500% from 2012 to 2019, we can only predict that cowork spaces will continue to get larger and attract more workers in the future.” Statista
Staying true to industry trends, we aren’t just growing in physical size. Some coworking spaces are outpacing their membership demands. This leads to empty offices and an awkward work environment. We are adding new members to all the time. On average we bring in 10 new members per month between private offices and coworking space and have seen steady, sustainable growth all year in 2019. It’s certainly an exciting time to be at CoCoTiv.
How about a little info on who our members are? Our members come from all walks of business life. We are home to many freelancers, the largest demographic of coworkers in the world. Entrepreneurs and enterprise level companies also fill our offices and open coworking spaces every day. CoCoTiv is proud to host many great female driven businesses. Women currently make up 40% of the coworking landscape, and we are happy to help drive that number even higher. We believe that growing the female demographic is a key to sustaining the future of coworking.

“According to GCUC’s survey, 84% of coworkers say working in a coworking hub makes them more motivated. Other responses show that 69% say they have obtained new skills and 68% say their existing skills have improved since joining a coworking office space.” GCUC
Enter CoTivation- a Mastermind group that takes place in a Coworking setting. It’s an accountability group that meets weekly for a 6 to 8 week period of time so members can set goals, troubleshoot, and share successes. Rooted in our mission here at CoCoTiv is the desire to see our members thrive not independently, but together. Our Cotivation group is a powerful tool towards that end. We are very excited to share more about this program in the coming days.
